Mother & Son Team Spreading Christmas Cheer

We couldn't be more thankful for all of you who have trusted us to sell or buy your home over the years!  During this time of year we always think about all of our clients and past clients and we try to just let them know that our clients actually mean something to us.  We're not about just selling homes and moving on the the next. 

We understand that a home purchase means so much.  It's a place where families make memories, raise children, and even use as a investment tool.  The bottom line is that we take our job seriously.  It's not only a way for us to make a living but we understand that we are instruments used to make a living for so many other families and that's why we are blessed to be in this business.  We hope you enjoy this video.  It's the least we could do for our clients.  

P.S.  This banana bread was made with love in our own home.   We didn't go out and buy it!  ;-)

We're going to change things up a little this month and show a graph of Active Listings VS. Sold Listings.  This graph displays how many Active listings there were in any given month and how many listings sold that month.  We are still experiencing low inventory (Active Listings) compared to years prior.  That still seems to be contributing to a higher demand on homes which in turn is creating more of an elevated price on home values compared to years past. 

Location is key!  This graph displays the sales activity in Downey and surrounding areas and as mentioned above, Downey and surrounding areas has increased in value the last few years.  This same trend is being experienced throughout many areas of Southern California including  areas of the Inland Empire.  Average Sales Prices held strong at an average sales price of $495,461 for the month of Nov according to SoCal MLS data.  You can't beat Southern California real estate!  Give us a call if you're interested in buying or selling your home.  We'd love to show you the benefit of working with the Mother & Son Team!

Elf Yourself 2014

Back in Christmas of 2007 we posted a picture of our real estate team in elf suits using Office Depots elf yourself tool.  I believe that was the first year Office Depot/Office Max came out with the elf yourself concept.  Believe it or not that post from 2007 still has search engines directing people to our site.  When you look at our analytics page in our back office, that blog post is in the top 2 most visited pages in our entire website which has been running since 2007!  I mean, you would think it would be a real estate post that has the most views but apparently not.  hahaha.  

Well since that has been one of our most visited pages and of course since it's Christmas time I thought we'd do an updated one.  So hear it is!  Enjoy...  and of you want to elf yourself visit and you'll be taking straight to the setup page.

There are so many people out there that have been unable to buy a home because their credit has been tarnished.  We all go through difficult things in life that can cause our credit rating to go down.  Some people have judgments, liens, bankruptcies, collections, and probably most common LATE PAYMENTS that cause their credit rating to plummet.  When someone thinks in their mind that their credit is unsavable, they may give up on ever owning a home because the truth of the matter is that if you have a low fico score loan guidelines either ask you to bring in an enormous amount of down payment before a bank lends you money, or your interest rate may be astronomical.  As a buyer, you don't want that right?
